In February 2016 representatives from youth & faith-based organisations from 9 SADC countries along with the Apex Alliance met in Windhoek Namibia to form the South African Alliance on Youth Employment, SAAYE. Under the coordination of the Economic Justice Network (EJN) and the support of the Apex Alliance, SAAYE aims to ensure that young people in Southern Africa have access to gainful and productive employment that enables them and their communities to be lifted out of poverty.
